Thing 2 No Longer Sheds!

Thing 2 aka Java Joe Doodle no longer sheds! Joe was a rehome. He had another life far, far away from the heat of sunny South Carolina. Joe 's first home was in Florida at Tegan Park, and when he was 8 weeks old he went to the Catskills of New York where he lived for 4 weeks. The owner had severe allergies and while she was not allergic to his fur, she was allergic when he licked her- which he liked to do!

Joe was given to my family and all we had to do was fly him to South Carolina. We wanted a second doodle so that Cinnamon Cappuccino (Capp) would have a playmate. This was especially nice because they are half brothers. They had the same mom!

Well, when Joe arrived we were shocked because he shed! Capp did not shed at all! We suddenly found big tufts of fur where Capp had nipped his new brother. There were tufts of fur everywhere!

Capp has fluffly fleecy fur, and Joe has wool fur. When Joe was a year old we had him shaved down because of a few matts. To our surprise he no longer sheds! It must have been all that puppy fur that Capp was tugging out! We could have never gotten a brush through that WOOL!

So, if you notice that my profile now says, "Nope." for shedding and once said something like "...a little ...nothing major..." you now know why!

That's great that he don't shed. I wish I could say that about Lilly. She was ok until she was about 7 months old , now it looks like our sofa grew fur. She has until May before she is a year old and I keep on hoping its just her puppy coat.

Yes... we got our two at the same time. Jedi is a big goofy tennis ball loving scardey cat and Jasper is well a little princess who needs attention!

that's wonderful news for you and your sweeper! I wish thing 2's Uncle would follow suit but I occasionnally find little tufts of chocolate brown hair lying around, nothin major but I still have to pic it up or sweep it up!
