This has nothing to do with doodles but just had to share.

My DH just went to the front door to bring in the morning paper and was greeted by our favorite Muscovy Duck.  She was standing right on our front porch, thought for a minute she would try to fly inside the house to get her daily snack of bread.   She has been coming to our yard for a while now, and is beginning to feel like a member of the family.  Just standing there, waiting and watching, its like we have a "guard duck"!

Ricki,

You really are scaring me now!    Don't know much about geese but there are two Egyptian Geese in the area and Guard Duck has been bringing friends around for a snack.   What are we to do?????

Even so, she still comes right up to the door!

Also, we usually put the bread in the grass away from the house due to the "mess".  This was just for a photo op.

F you are so right!  But people are always going to the pond down at the corner to feed them.  She has

actually nested behind our hedge, even had two nests full of eggs that hatched, but the chicks did not

survive more than two weeks due to the cats and other critters that got them.  We have tried to discourage her by not feeding her and trying gently to shoo her away but she always comes back.
