About Me:: We have always had standard poodles, this is our first
Doodle. She has proven to be the challenge of a lifetime.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: 17 month old, female, Goldendoodle; her name is Ditzy Mitzi Fluffmuffin.
Feb. 5, 2011, We just added a new member to our "family". A one year old, Male, Standard Poodle Puppy. We got him from Florida Poodle Rescue.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Pet store

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: She was six months old, in a small cage, crying her heart out. Her sister had been purchased the day before we saw her.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: She loves to swim. We go to the dog park and attend our local
Doodle Romps when possible.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: I do. Rarely take to professional groomer, our favorite left her shop.

Favorite Doodle Products?: Kong Wubba, grandchildren's toys, especially the dolls.
March, 2011, I have just discovered Crown Royale Detangling Spray. It is wonderful!

My DH just went to the front door to bring in the morning paper and was greeted by our favorite Muscovy Duck. She was standing right on our front porch, thought for a minute she would try to fly inside the house to get her daily snack of bread. She has been coming to our yard for a while now, and is beginning to feel like a member of the family. Just standing there, waiting and watching, its like we have a "guard duck"!

Good Dogs and Open Gates!

This morning we almost had the scare of a lifetime when we heard barking coming from outside our front door! Apparently Sgt. Pepper got out of the backyard and wanted to get back into the house!

Somehow the gate had not shut properly. Just wanted to share, at this time of the year, especially when we are so busy, we should not overlook simple things, especially when it comes to the safety of our fur kids.

Glad I was able to send you over to the discussion so you could see the good news- that his owners were found. I saw how upset you were. We all were all day. Geesh. How horrible. Really bad story with at least, somewhat of a happy ending.

We opened it up for suggestions here and tried lots of them on for size. Someone jokingly suggested Hula and I LOVED it and Clancy was Hula for about a day and a half. I am trying to remember but I think it was a couple of weeks before we finally decided. Clancy is from the suggestions! It is the name of Nancie Casey (and Graciedoodle)'s human son. Clancy is a St. Patrick's Day baby so the Irish name fit him perfectly. I still LOVE the name Hula, though and one of these days..... Shelly said that when they were naming Tori, the narowed the list down to several (maybe each family member's favorite) and wrote them on paper that they wadded up and set on the floor. The one Tori went to was her choice and the one they would use. You might try something like that and everybody would have a fair shot at the final choice. When we named our lab mix we all put in a name - Simon Webber Ruby teehee.
