Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Today I brought home my first short-term foster baby for DRC. His name is Baxter and he is 16 weeks old. He is chalk in color, has a silky soft fleece coat, a black nose and he is a first generation Goldendoodle. I will only have him temporarily, as I am flying to California in a few weeks, but I wanted you all to start filling out your applications!! Right now he is in North Carolina, but he may be heading North soon. Now, here are the first shots of this adorable Dood. He is aprox. 40 lbs., calm in the house, well mannered and playful with other dogs.

He does look a little like our Champ when he was a puppy!
Baxter is darling. We just lost our Champ and eventually I will probably want to get another doodle as a playmate for Scooby, but it is a little too soon for that now. How does the procedure work though when the puppy is being fostered? How and where are the applications found? Are the dogs posted regularly? Best of luck with adorable Baxter.
Baxter looks like he is on an adventure of a lifetime! So glad to see him looking so happy. Does not take long to fall in love with him that's for sure (I guess maybe all of a second?).
Great pictures, Colleen. Baxter looks adorable, as usual. Love the one of Baxter in the tube and the meet and greet threesome.
They are so cute. Luca would like to join the bedraggled club!
Joanne...LOL...maybe he was almost hoping Baxter would be there???
Going back to the beginning of this post.......... pages ago.
A few weeks ago, on a Friday, the day that just might have been 'smuggle Baxter to Ohio, I'll pick him up at the exit on 77 and he will just appear here at my house, day' F.J. woke up really early and came out to the patio.
" What's wrong?" I asked
" Nothing. I just couldn't sleep. Something woke me up" he said.
He later told me, that the crazy lady across the street was yelling something about a dog. Startled, he woke up and came outside to see if I really did try to smuggle that dog into our home. He heard a lady screaming and he heard the word dog. He thought maybe someone stopped by and tied it to the mailbox.
I really think he was watching this post closely.
HA. Nice to keep following you, Baxter :)
aww!
Baxter so much reminds me of Spud. Bedraggled is a great term! I'm keeping that as a nickname :) No matter how much you groom them, they always have that Cute-Messy look--just like my youngest son.
