Three week countdown!

Lyric is due in exactly three weeks! She is so big I am beginning to think there are two litters in there--compared to last time, when she had 8, she seems bigger at this stage of the pregnancy. But, it is probably just my mind playing tricks on me.....she is eating well now that we found out that pregnant doggies LOVE Freshpet Select, which is refrigerated and expensive--I don't mind buying it for a month or so though if it keeps the weight on--she eats better after noon, so I feed her a bit in the morning then give her three smaller meals during the day and evening. Mattie and Rio are so jealous! They see her getting a bowl of food and give me such a look!! Hey, why not us????

We are now far enough along that I can lay my hand on her tummy and feel the pups moving around--love that! This litter should all be cream to white, so not much variety but I bet they will be cute--can't wait!

Oh yeah, the wall is more lax alright and this is her THIRD litter, so it is REALLY lax!! It is amazing how fast she goes back to slim and graceful--it is so funny to see her trying to run full speed after Rio--I am sure she doesn't understand why he is getting so far ahead!!

Maybe dogs are like people and the abdominal wall is more lax with subsequent pregnancies so they look bigger. Boy, it goes so fast!

I have found that sometimes our girls look bigger the second time around. I love feeling the puppies move too! New born puppies are oh so sweet!
