Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
My DH was at the local beach yesterday with Quincy. They came home and he was puttering around for an hour or so. Then he came into the kitchen and handed me a note with a name and telephone number. "We met a retired couple who want to re-home their doodle. He's too much for them." DH told me he sat there at his computer debating on whether to tell me. LOL.
So guess who came for a sleep over! He'a an 8 month old F1 who has a gentle doodle personalty with the typical energy of a doodle as well. This just may work! He is light colored with gorgeous light eyes
He does not have a doodle tail and probably sheds a bit, but he is a charmer.
We have been thinking about another for awhile, but we really can't take the time away from our respective practices to potty train a puppy. This guy is solid on that. He has a good sit, we will work on it. He is still jumping up (Quincy's worst habit to this day).
So far, Quincy is still showing him who is boss. Frankie brought some toys and Quincy taunts him a bit. But so far so good.
They both slept on the bed. Frankie, I believe thought he had died and gone to heaven. Quincy did his usual up and down routine, but Frankie stayed put.
We separated their food/water bowls, but the water from the other brother bowls must taste better.
We went down to the beach to give them neutral territory to play and run this morning, which was fun
Frankie is restless in his new surroundings and so Quincy is on alert, too. I guess Quincy is a little confused, too.
The thing is we leave for Disney for 5 nights tomorrow so we can't have him permanently until we get back. The owners don't mind waiting since they really want us to have him so he will have a good home. He is crate trained so our plan is to be home as much as we can the week we take him permanently, but leave Frankie crated when we are not. He is only 8 months.
SO MY DK FRIENDS---ARE WE CRAZY??

Awesome. As someone (Karen and Jack) said to me when we adopted Clancy, "Some things were just meant to be." This is one of those times. Congratulations.
Wow, this was meant to be, he sure is gorgeous so big congrats to you all. My boys drink from the same bowl and eat from their own bowls (except when they go to check out what the other has left behind Lol)
Congratulations!!!
Obviously it was meant to be. Some of the best things are unplanned!!!
Lori, I can't help but hope with all my heart that you take this sweet boy. He needs a home where his "energy" is put to good use and appreciated :) My dogs eat and drink from the same bowls. I have two sets of bowl, but Vern seems to want whatever Fudge has. There might be an adjustment period, but in a couple of months, you will have a new normal and I bet you won't be able to imagine life without two. They always say the right dog finds you.
Frankie & Quincy make a handsome duo. How great not to have to worry about potty training. Frankie is a very lucky boy!
He's got the cutest face! I don't know......sounds like it was meant to be! Congratulations!
Wow, Congratulations. What a lucky boy Frankie is.
Congratulations! Frankie is a beautiful boy.
It sounds like you're crazy-lucky to get that sweet baby! Congratulations!
