Trying Yet Another Grromer!

Well, this is my 4th groomer. I hope I have finally found the one. She works out of her home and lives within a 10 minute drive. I dropped Yankee off at 9am and he did have some mats. I had most of them out Wed night but yesterday he went swimming in the pool. Not good.

She brought me inside and showed me her grooming area. She has 3 dogs (one is a rescue) and a cat. She also has 5 foster kittens. Obviously an animal lover so that's a good sign. Her grooming room looked great. She has a tub built into the wall at arm level. Her house was nice and clean.

This groomer calls as soon as your dog is ready, about 2 hrs or so. I will try her again with a few changes so he doesn't look quite as poodley.

I'm glad you liked your new groomer. I like the way my groomer cuts Bodi, but I don't like that he is there for almost 5 hours!! The last time I took him, he refused to go in on his own! It was heartbreaking. When I arrived to pick him up he was still on the table and VERY CALM, so I'm not sure what to think. I may try a mobile groomer next time . . . . at least that will cut down the time he is away from me!

Good Luck! We've had Simon for a year now & have gone through so many groomers! No matter how much I elaborate on how we'd like him cut ....he still looks like a mutt when we pick him up!! I always end up attempting to fix his new do & it never works!!!!

Oh good ;) That is what my groomer charges for Buddy who is 60 lbs. LOL, all that drying time for nothing huh?
That happened with Kona a few weeks ago, she never went into the sprinklers even when her brother was playing in them. I figured I could give her a quick bath and dry and she would be good for the week, not, she decided playing in the water wasn't so bad so curly girl she is.

Well, I was going to post an after picture but when we got home, Yankee went right in the pool. She did him exactly the way I told her to but he still looks too poodley for me. She said the back of his legs were all matted so she scissored them. He looks so much more comfortable and drying time is cut in half. She only charged me $60. I paid more everywhere else. All in all, I am pleased.
