Update on Leah, our foster doodle!

My DH and I have had Leah, our 18 month-old labradoodle foster, in our home for nearly 3 weeks, and all i can say is this -- SHE HAS COME OUT OF HER SHELLl!  For the first ten days that we had her, Leah really didn't want to play -- and that drove Knox NUTS, because PLAY is his middle name!  He would try his hardest to get her attention and she would FLAT OUT ignore him!  I just figured that some dogs like to play and some don't and that Leah was the latter.  She was perfectly content to lay around -- usually at my feet!  When she went outside, she did her business and that was it -- no playing, no chasing, NO nothing!  It was KILLING Knox! He has lived his life with an aging 13-year old Jack who hardly gave him the time of day, and now Leah was treating him the same way.  Well, much to Knox's surprise (and ours!), IT HAPPENED -- Leah started playing!  YAY!!  Knox is so happy, and quite honestly, he has met his MATCH!  It is so fun to watch them "romp" and here are some pics that I have taken:

I'm so very happy to read this great news and to see the wonderful photo's.  It's so lovely to see that Leah is finally turning the corner to happiness.  You are a wonderful foster Mom.

Doris, This speaks to the fine job you are doing. Leah is starting to feel secure in your home and is starting to be herself. They have to be so scared and confused the first few weeks. I am glad Knox has found a friend. Good job!!
