UPDATED: Momma & Me Today!

Hey everybody...Rua here.  I am SOOO excited.  Today it is all about Momma & Me (ok, so most days it is like that, but this is really special). 

 

First, we are going to go Three Dog Bakery & Spa so Momma can look for a new pretty pink sparklie collar for ME!!!!  I just LOVE pink and Momma has been on the search for just the right collar.  It has to be 3/4" to 1" wide (difficult to find for a small) and have rhinestones or Swarovski crystals! 

 

Then, it is "Spring Bark in the Park" at the dog park I go to.  Oh...there are games, demos, vendors & raffles.  They will have a carnival with Paw-casso, Splat the Cat (don't tell PuffDog), Tic Tac Paw, Hide-a-Teat, Bobbing for Dawgs & more!  Oh boy, I can't wait.  The clouds are parting and I see blue sky!

 

After the dog park, Momma is going to give me my own little spa treatment.  She's going to brush me, do my nails, give my head and around my eyes a little trim, and then a shampoo and rinse!   I'll be all soft and smelling pretty for the big event tonight.

 

And then, the MOST exciting part!  I can hardly believe what is going to happen tonight.  Momma is taking me out for dinner.  The Nebraska Humane Society is having an event called "Dining with Dogs" tonight.  It is from 6:30PM to 9:00PM at a Convention Center.  We will be at a table with 7 other people and some dogs.  I am going to be a really good girl tonight.  Momma is going to let me wear my pretty pink sparklie dog tag tonight.

UPDATE:  Sunday, May 1st

 

Momma and I had the MOST awesome time yesterday.  We started out going to Three Dog Bakery & Spa.  They bake awesome stuff there.  Well, I walked in with Momma and the girl behind the counter came right out and brought me a little piece of cake and asked if I could have it.  Heck yeah I said...but I had to wait until Momma said OK.  It was yummy.  Liz, the store person thought I was sooo cute and loved my hair color.  We looked at some hand-made leather collars with Sworovski crystals...I think Momma might buy me a 1" pink leather collar but has to decide on pattern and crystal colors.  We bought a Rubit Clip-on dog tag holder and some granola/chocolate treats for me (not real chocolate).

 

Then, we went to Spring Bark in the Park...Momma FORGOT to take pictures, but it was SO fun.  The sun was shining, it wasn't cold out, and there were lots of people and dogs.  They had games to play...I liked Splat the Cat...I won a stuffed polar bear.  There was music playing, lots of food and treats - Yummm, and all kinds of give aways.  Lot's of people kept coming up to Momma to ask what kind a dog I was (I am NOT a dog, I am a Doodle, can't they tell), commented on my color and asked to pet me.  One lady said I was THE cutest dog there.  WTD, was there any doubt?  Momma bought some raffle tickets and we won a denim dog bed and a free nail trim.  Momma said I was a really good girl and said we could go again next year.

 

After that, we came home.  I got my nails done, ears cleaned, teeth brushed, a little trim and a shampoo and conditioner treatment.  After, I put on my Harry Barker cute pink robe and had the zoomies.  I took a little nap afterwards in preparation of the main event.  Dinner out with Momma.

 

This is the scene we walked into...OMD, there were 450 or so people, hundreds of dogs.  They had "Valet Barkers" (Momma could hold up a sign and someone would come over and take me outside to go potty).  The place was decorated top to bottom.  My favorite part was there were people walking around serving hors d'oeuvres...just for dogs...YUMMY.

 

 

Of course they had a Mutt-Tini bar!

 

Darn if people didn't keep coming up to Momma and asking about me.  It just keeps happening everywhere we go.  Everybody wanted to pet me.  Momma was super extra thrilled because I did a good job of sitting before somebody could pet me.

 

I met a Doodle!  Momma tried to take a picture of us...hard to do and hold on to me at the same time so she let the Doodle's papa hold me.  Ummm, what was Momma thinking.  Strange man holding me and a big huge dog trying to kiss me...I was a little scared.  When she had to go potty, she left me with the lady sitting next to us at the table...Momma said "stay" and said she would be back.  I cried...I don't like Momma to leave me.  Gotta work on that, Momma said.  I won't pass my CGC if I keep that up.

 

It was just the bestest day in the whole wide world.  Momma said we could do that again.  I sure love my Momma.

 

I slept late this morning....Momma was really happy.

Rua, Dublin here. Please talk to my momma. You get to go to the bakery AND the spa in the same day WOW. I GOT to go to the bakery then we went camping at the beach. The beach was great fun. I love to chase the water, have the ball thrown using "the chuckit", and doing tons of zoomies on the sand. It's so soft, but feels weird on my feet. Glad to hear your date went well, I look forward to talking to you soon! We leave the beach tomorrow I'm sad,I really don't want to go and will look forward to our next trip.

I love your new bone shaped tag with your name on it, it's too cute.  It looks like you had lots of fun but you didn't look completely sure when you were sitting on the strange mans knee.  I don't blame you because I don't like sitting on men's knees myself except if I know them really really well!!!

Rua, what a wonderful day you had, the only thing that could have made it better was if all those dogs had been doodles. Hope you didn't drink too many Mutt-tinis.

Good girl Rua, Rua that comes with the territory of being astoundingly beautiful sweetie, you are a star. So you might as well get used to the questions. Jack gets the same thing when we go out and by the end of the day he tries to hide from people because we can't walk a few feet without someone saying something or wanting to pet him..

 

You collar sound just great.. I am in the market for a new collar for Jack but he would kill me if I tried to feminize  him. After all he is a little guy so he already sometimes feels he needs to prove his masculinity.  I think I  need to get him a skull and cross bones collar.. LOL

 

I am glad you and your mom had a great day, The world would be a much happier place if doodles were allowed in more places... They just bring a smile every where they go!!!
