This will put you in the holiday mood! we had a warm day here and the pups finally got the chance to go outside in the new puppy pen I put in this fall--there is an indoor room for them too! I wanted them to experience the snow before the rain that was forecast for today and tomorrow washed it all away. They had a blast! The smallest one got colder faster so he was tucked inside my jacket while I was filming--hence the shaky camera--had to hold him with one hand and film with the other!

If you sit thru a few minutes, you can see Lyric (momma dog) and her son Rio having a chase around my yard--they have invisible fence and can not get as far as the puppy area--you will see Lyric watching from the edge of her area and worrying about her babies!

Melissa--the pups that are curlier now will remain curly and may get curlier! When they were born, their coats we're wrinkled in appearance and not smooth so we knew right away that they would be curly--I don't think that the curlier pups get straighter later on--but maybe someone else has seen that. This picture was taken at a week old and you can already see which ones will have curls. There are only two fleece coated pups in this litter. The mom is a fleece and the dad has a bit more curl--but you can always have a "throwback" to prior generations of poodles. These pups have mini-poodle on the dad's side too and two of the pups have more of a mini size.

Hi Ginny. These little guys are absolutely adorable. I'm wishing we had our addition already, but good things come to those who wait, right? Looking at their puppy coats, some appearing a bit more curly to my untrained eye makes me wonder...are you able to determine the type of curly coat at all when adult coat comes in when they are pups, or is it more an educated guess based on the breeding parents, or based on prior litters with same parents? How does one determine what pups in same litter are f1b's, f1's, etc?
