Today my oldest daughter Brittany and I finally took our "road trip" to visit Grandview Labradoodles, and owner/breeder (and former classmate) Jennifer Bartlett, and all her wonderful little puppies! It was so much fun, and very educational. I have to admit that I had never met a labradoodle bfore today, other than through the internet. Her dogs, of all ages and sizes were all so beautiful and sweet! One, (Rosie--whom I fell in looooooooooove with), I picked up, while we were chatting on the back porch, and she sat in my lap as I pet her for up until the time we left. She was so cute I wanted to take her with me! But...the highlight of the tour deffinitely had to be visiting with Neala's ELEVEN two week old puppies, yes folks, eleven! They were the most darling little creatures! My daughter and I were in puppy heaven! Treasures' puppies come in a close second; they were 5 1/2 weeks old (I think), and super-duper-duper cute! They were all playful and fun loving, cuddly and sweet all at the same time. I had never felt a labradoodle coat before, and in one afternoon I got to touch and feel about every colorand variety of wavy and curly fleece! I have to say, the wavy-too-curly with little spirals, I think is my favorite... Oh my goodness.... Jennifer was so knowledgeable about the breed, answering all of our questions, and even giving us grooming and training advice. Those little dark apricot/red puppies were beyond adorable.... I didn't put my name on the list though, I think my DH would have had me committed, BUT....Brittany and I ARE going to start a special-secret savings account for doodle number two! I'd love to get a red one of course; (Rudy or Ruby; depending on the sex of the puppy!) I strongly recommend Grandview Labradoodles and Jennifer as a breeder! We toured the property, shared water & popsicles on the back porch, and saw all the dogs in variuos places in teh house and yard. Our second dood wil be a Grandview doodle, no doubt about that! (FYI: Four Males are still available!)
