There is a Sandra Boynton board book that we have called, "Snuggle Puppy". My kids (and husband) all know that Mommy loves to snuggle. But....They get to a certain age, and start (the nerve!) refusing to snuggle with me! My baby Laila has reached that age, at 13 months unbelievabley... My puppy, Sable, a large mini, chocolate ALD; comes home in two weeks and one day... Two nights ago I wanted to cuddle so bad I went and got my 13 months old out of her crib, (she was soulnd asleep, curled up in a ball), it reminded me of a puppy! So, naturally I scooped her up and brought her downstairs to our room, (we have a main level master suite) Unfortunately, she is NOT at all accustomed to sleeping in the bed with us and she cried for almost 30 min... I didn't care, I wanted a snuggle! I hummed her lullabies, and eventually she settled and fell asleep. I got to smell her hair, put my hand on her little tummy, and kiss her sweet head the rest of the night. In the AM I looked over at her sprawled out, (and my husband and I, respectively pinned to either end of the bed), then she would curl up, you know, on her tummy, with her feet tucked in up under her and her cutie-pa-tootie little baby but sticking up in the air, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It was soooooooooooooooo cute, and so worth it. My hubby and I didn't sleep for s#@&, (pardon my language) but again, it was worth it! My puppy will never be short of snuggles, ah, my little snuggle bug, I can't wait! 15 more days.... The picture is about a year ago. Wow...time flies.....
