Hi all--not much new to report--except that Lyric has become a very fussy eater! She can't really deal with any of the kibble I have on hand (I happen to have a few flavors in the house at the moment), so she is getting boiled chicken with broth. She eats that, but slowly. She is more tired and so much more laid back than usual. They say that you should see no difference in the energy level or behavior of the dog in the fist few weeks, but she has really changed dramatically. She has a few active times during the day, but they don't last long.
My oldest daughter, Jen, was home for Thanksgiving and as a 4th year vet student at Cornell (graduates in May '11!) she did bit of palpating and found a few little bumps that she thought might be pups, but it is really too early to tell much. Good practice for her though! Jen is not too thrilled with her mom for breeding the dog, since she sees so many needy shelter dogs in her line of work, but I can't always please her. It is nice to know that these pups should be healthy and well-bred--and will hopefully all find wonderful homes.
