Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We adopted our LD, Chili, last March through IDOG. He's been such a joy, that we decided to double the love. We were working through DRC to adopt a second rescue. We had already been approved and were "finalists" in the running for a different doodle. Jeannine from DRC came for a home visit and brought a young LD that she had rescued from a shelter in Louisville the day before, to see how Chili would react to another dog on his turf. We were all goners within five minutes, including Chili. We named our new boy Guiness. While it was mostly a humpfest the first few days, since then they run and play and tease each other, just like any other brothers. My husband and I feel so blessed to be able to share our lives with these two wonderful, loving, goofy doodles.
In addition to publicly thanking Karyn and Jeannine for making this happen, I want to apologize to them and the others for their congratulations on our new addition, which I had not yet acknowledged... I just can't seem to stop playing with or watching them long enough to do anything else, like post on DK. Plus, I've had a hard time getting any decent photos of Guiness. Here are a few of the boys. Chili is the blond, Guiness is the silly looking black boy.

Becky, what's meant to be, will be. Guinness and Chili look so happy together, it does my heart good. I am so happy for all of you.
OH Becky I'm just so tickled you have posted about Guiness! No need for thanks, it brings me too much joy to make these kind of matches! You guys were a perfect match for Guiness...I knew it the minute you met! Guiness and Chili are just too cute together and I love that picture of Guiness with his big doodle nose..I could just kiss it! Thanks for the update and please stay in touch. If you ever need anything, you know where to find me!!!
Ahh, so YOU are the one!! I was on the phone with Jeannine while she was driving to and fro your home with D now G. She told me she knew a perfect fit when she saw one!
I am so thrilled that the boys have become brothers!!! That is the best news!!
The humpty dance will never go away - it is a dog-thing, attention getter and the who is in charge at this moment! It happens in my home all the time - with 2 female doodles so it is a dog thing, not just a boy thing.
