Winter Sadness

I keep wondering about my Doodle Girl.   Shelby is usually so happy and wanting to play with Daddy.  Its cold outside, yep, in Florida and the temps have just screwed up everything.  I usually sit outside with her and take her for lots of car rides but Its just too cold lately.  Also we have a cat named Cali that was a rescue from our local shelter.  Mom has an awesome repoire with her and Shelby may just thinking that she is not the top dog anymore.  Not true. 

When we get some warmer weather, Shelby and I are going to all the dog parks and will tear up the turf!!!

Yes... my Shelby and I are house bound today due to lots of rain here in TX. It's also been quite cold by TX standards - below freezing at night!   Not to mention that she is activity restricted right now due to a strained ligament in her hip.   The sun will shine again and then you and Shelby will be out and back in the groove!

We're in Jacksonville and yes it's been cold.  Ours need to run so bad that we're going to the park in any weather.

Put on a jacket and take Shelby to the dog park.  She will love the cooler weather.

Tara always perks up in the cool air!! She prefers it!! Maybe Shelby just has winter boredom!!  I agree-grab your jacket!!

I say put a jacket on with those shorts and take that little girl for a walk!  She will love that cool air!

Here in Ft. Myers - brrrrr.  Came here from Michigan and I remember thinking it was warm here in February - now if it dips below 70 - I'm wearing a sweater and jeans.

Cody lays next to the safety fence to our pool and sighs, looking at the clear water and green floored siren of the pool- but it's too chilly for him to jump in [did the other day and he shot out of the pool almost dry when the water touched his belly!  LOL]

 

Thanks to two kids, The Grouch Schnauzer, two cats and his toys, Cody has little in the way of boredom- but he has his favorites- we're finding that the Doodle breed is in some ways "too smart for his own good"!

I was born and raised here so I like to think I am 'conditioned' for this weather. LOL I find it pretty funny because when we vacation (we will be in Orlando in a month to board a Cruise), the locals will be wearing pants, sweaters etc, and we will be in our flip flops and shorts. People look at us like we're crazy!! lol

-41 makes me really want to shut my mouth when I start to complain about temps in the teens.....
