Yesterday I spent about an hour trimming Shelbys feet.  I have to say how Great Shelby is when it comes to grooming.  Her feet look great.  Lots of effort involved on both sides.  She has shown displeasure in the past but with each time, Her Daddy gets better with with experience and Shelbs now is very cooperative. 

    A few hours later, Doodle Dad took her to the beach and She just ran and ran.  With Dolphins only feet away she was in Heaven!   The saltwater from the Atlantic Ocean is know by locals to heal wounds.  Pawprints in the sand and saltwater between the toes,  my Girl now has eased up on the foot licking and I am just so relieved! 

    I wonder how many of my friends on Doodle Kisses takes the time to Do it Themselves?  I love the home grooming because it put my relationship with Roo on a whole different level.   U?

I groom Darwin myself. I can't say he turns out great every time, but it saves money and I think he prefers it to a grooming shop.

I trimmed Hudsons face for the first time yesterday... turned out not bad!! He is only 6 months so not that cooperative. Tonight we are going to tackled the feet and toes, so thanks for the inspiration :) Although going to the beach after sounds waaay better than bundling ourselves up and going for a walk in the deep snow!!

We just had a spa day yesterday for the dogs :)  My groomer says that Buddy is antsy and doesn't like the HV dryer especially on his feet and legs.  He hopped right up on the little grooming table in our yard after I got Kona done and wanted his turn.  No arm or noose and he gave me each paw as I asked to brush and dry.  He is a Momma's boy and he enjoys the grooming process with me more and more. 

We are all Jealous here Kevin, the beach sounds sooooo great!  Glad Shelby is having an easier time with her feet, Buddy has times too that he just nibbles between those toes.
