Worried about my baby Hunter getting spayed tomorrow :-(

Call me crazy, I am feeling so worried about taking my baby Hunter to be spayed tomorrow. I just know it is going to break my heart when I leave her and she looks at me wondering why I am leaving her :-( I feel bad that she is going to be in pain afterwards, and really there has to be pain after any kind of surgery. I am actually taking to her a spay and neuter clinic to have it done. That actually makes me feel better to know that the vet does this ALL the time and cares enough to spend their life helping helping to control the animal population. I keep looking at her thinking she has no idea what is in store for her tomorrow and I feel terrible!! My poor baby :-(

Hey I see my favorite red head at Grandmas house!!! I was playing in the yard and looked down the street and thought of You and Hunter.
Spud was fixed last weekend and it was a breeze. We did obey all rules. I was so sad when he brought his balls and frisbees and I walked away refusing to play.
Thinking of you. Hope all is well this evening.

I had my LD Duke fixed today. I picked him up about an hour ago. (He was dropped off today @ 9:00 am.) So far he just wants to sleep. He tends to want to lick his incision so I'll have to look up other posts on this to see how the T-shirt trick is done! When my GD Sheba was fixed she spent the night and the next day she was great. She acted like nothing happened. It was soooo hard to keep her activity level low. I didn't have any problems with her licking her incision. Duke is more low key so I'm hoping he will be easier to control! I 'm hoping he'll be better tomorrow, he wimpers now and then and walks funny. The woman at the vets office said Duke did great and hung out with his new girlfriend there. They laid side by side on a blanket while they recovered. They fell in love with him there! When I picked him up I took Sheba with me so she could be micro-chipped. (Duke was also micro-chipped today.) They commented that I should get some professional shots of them because they were so beautiful....I hope Hunter has a restful and comfortable evening and all goes well!

We'll be thinking of you! Peri gets spayed in 9 days, so please keep me posted on how it goes! I will worry too, of course :(

I just got back from dropping her off, I get to go back at 430P and pick her up :-( She was so happy riding in the car and even when we got there she thought it was some place fun ~ poor baby. They did ask if I wanted to get the extra "pain package" which of course I did! It was a shot that lasts for 24 hours and 2 extra pills. They were SUPER nice when I was all sad saying good bye to her. Thank you for all of the words of encouragement, they really did help. Now only 6 hours 52 minutes to watch tick away!

Spaying does seem harder on female dogs than neutering a male dog. Hannah didn't do so great with her's, and took her about two days to actuallly start bouncing back from it. Hannah also had eye surgery with her spaying so this may have been the cause. My other females in the past that have been spayed, usually after a day, they are back to normal and acting like nothing happened, and it's like they forget it ever took place. We all tend to get nervous when any kind of surgery will take place. Special prayer for Hunter and you for tomorrow, and all will be fine.

I was so worried about Remington when he got neutered, but everyone assured me he would be fine... and he was! It is just mommy nerves you are having. She'll be fine :)

I have that up and coming soon too. :o( for Kaela.

I didnt have to think about it with Abby because she came already spayed.

I know exactly how you feel as do many many other members. My dood is male so I think it is a little easier than spaying. But when we picked him up (he spent the night at the vet) he was just great. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow-hang in there-she'll come thru it just fine. Keep us posted on her recovery. Hugs from Deb and Thomas doodle to you and Hunter.

I was a nervous wreck, and scared to death, too!! I also felt miserable afterwords as well......
But in comparison, Charlie did very well, and was so happy to see me when I wen to pick her up. She spent the night at the vet office, too so I did not sleep well that night either! LOL!
Hunter should do well and be fine. Charlie did not seem to be in pain or anything after, just a little bothered by the stiches. That was it.

I sometimes think it is harder on us. Hunter will be fine....just a few days of discomfort.
