Well it happened. I am always so fearful when Stella gets the puppy zoomies that she is going to hurt herself and two nights ago she did. She ran into the lever type handle on the side of the recliner and caught her front leg, yanking it back and really messing up her shoulder. She screamed and yelped for a good three minutes-freaked me out. Took her to the vet, nothing broken so she must have some tendon or ligament damage. She is on anti-inflammatories for a week and we'll see how it goes. She is limping terribly and will give a little squeek or yelp if she moves the wrong way. I don't even have to try to keep her calm, the poor little thing pretty much just lays around and mopes. It just breaks my heart to see her in pain. I just hope she heals alright and it's not going to be a surgical situation. You can't put them in a plastic bubble but sometimes I wish you could...

Poor sweetheart, that's terrible. I'm always afriad Lola will hurt herself with her zoomies. Once she had a zommie attack at the dog park and ran DIRECTLY into a giant tree. Her mouth was spurting blood for about an hour, but finally stopped and she was ok. I hope Stella recovers quickly. I really wish there was a way to take their pain and put it into yourself instead just to make them feel better!!!
