The house is quiet tonight. It is full of happy, exhausted dogs just snoozing away. We spent a couple hours at the dog park today. It was a clear, crisp, beautiful day so there were lots of dogs at the park. Harlow and the boys had a blast playing ‘fox & hound’ with the other dogs. Harlow participated in an impromptu fetching contest. She did pretty well for a novice, but didn’t hold a candle to the Border collie that looks like she is ready to ‘go professional’. We met a couple of other LDs who like Harlow hailed from Michigan (though not the same breeder) as well as a French Bulldog named Yogi that had no fear ‘running with the big dogs’. Fun was had by all.

Where are you people who are complaining about the cold? On Friday it was minus 35 here!!!!!!! Saturday was minus 15 so off to the park we went. I can handle up to about minus 20 but then I worry about the dogs. I made them wear boots on Saturday. YOU don't know COLD!

I seriously considered going to the dog park for about the 21 seconds - oh, right, that was the temp without the wind chill factor. We did go out to the store to get clipper combs but we came straight home!
No park for us unless it is above 40!

Here is my story: I froze today as I cracked my door only an inch to see if the dog was ready to come in...it was such a cold, gloomy day.... blah blah
