I have 3 children, Rachel, Jeff and our mini Goldendoodle, Gracie. When I am not out walking Gracie I am helping people buy and sell homes.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have a mini Goldendoodle named Gracie. We purchased her after we lost our beloved Molly (a Portugese Water Dog )and Max ( a Bichon/Poodle mix from a shelter). They died within 6 months of each other. Molly was almost 15 and Max was 13.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We loved the traits of the Goldens and the poodles and after doing our homework we thought it was the perfect combination. We liked the idea of the "mini" since we wanted a smaller dog.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Everything! Gracie loves to go in the car. We take her to the beach, the park and anyplace where they allow dogs. She loves the attention everywhere she goes. She also loves to retrieve.
She is a certified therapy dog and she loves to go to nursing homes for visits and also is a "reading buddy" visiting schools and helping children learn to read.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Rachel at the Petco in Deerfield IL.

Hi Barbara. Angus is really funny also; if he gets a sock or something else he's not supposed to have he'll toss it up in the air, flaunting his misbehavior. Of course, if he then 'leaves' it on command, he'll often get a small treat......
I feed him Evo dry food - he likes the large bite size. It's grain-free and very high quality. I feed him twice a day. Sometimes he's not interested in the morning, so after awhile I'll pick it up and not offer food till the evening. He also gets occasional treats - carrots, chunks of apple, a small piece of cheese, a little peanut butter smeared in a Kong. Also I offer tiny treats when training and on walks in the woods to encourage him to 'come' when I tell him to. He never gets fed while we're eating, so he's not a 'beggar'. He's a great little dog.
I have his coat clipped shorter for the summer. It's starting to grow out and I just might keep it clipped just a little bit in the winter to make it easier to brush.
He plays with my son's standard size doodle, Walnut, every day at my house. I have a large yard with invisible fencing. We also go for walks on wooded trails almost daily, where he can walk off leash. Perhaps we'll see pictures of other of their siblings on this website.
Hi Barbara. I'm new to the group. Christine told me that Gracie is Angus' sister (8/13/07)! He is just the neatest dog; loving, funny and smart. What's Gracie like?
Welcome Barbara. Gracie is so cute. I got my mini from Paw Pad too. If I had a female it was going to be named Gracie. But I have a little boy named Beckett. They are the cutiest pups. Can't wait to see more pics.
