About Me:: Grandmother of 8 - 3 girls & 5 boys ranging in age from 14 to 5 and love every minute - don't get to see them as much as I would like - 4 live in NC and the other 4 in Utah. I am a buyer at Salisbury University - love spending the state's money!!!! Been married for almost 43 years to the same guy!!! Still love the beach. I have always been a cat person until Winston came to live with us in June! He is so smart!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Winston, our Golden Doodle, from Old Mill Doodles in Staunton, VA. His birthday is 4/7/08. Orange tabby, Hatteras, who tries to keep Winston in line. Sassy, tortoise shell, who is almost 15 and ignores everybody.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I like the fact that they don't shed or shed very little. After having a black lab for 16 years and cleaning up dog hair daily - I just wanted a lower maintenance dog.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Going to the beach! Playing ball - Winston loves it. Winston has attended obedience classes at our local kennel club. He has achieved the Canine Good Citizen award.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Michelle Pretty Paws

We have a new and exciting event coming July 26th, from 1-4 to celebrate our recent jump to 100 members!
We will be having a BBQ/Picnic and a lake for the doodles to go swimming at The Dude Ranch in Glen Allen. Please check out the discussion on the group page entitled "Party Time" and respond there if you plan to attend so I can get a doodle head count for the facility.
