hi
I am no expert either, but she looks good to me. Hip dysplasia requires an x-ray to be certain. Slight hip dysplasia often shows no sypmtoms when the dog is young. Severe hip dysplasia would have made itself very evident by now. For slight hip dysplasia you need do nothing more than keep your dog at a healthy weight and provide joint supplements as your vet suggests.
Dogs can walk - four beats or each foot separately. Trot -2 two beats with the opposite side hind leg moving simultaneously with the front leg - like a horse. Canter 3 beats on front leg leads, then the opposite front leg and the other side hind leg move, lastly the hind leg on the side of the leading front leg moves. Then a run or gallop like a horse which is actual four beats again, but it is so fast it looks like the two back legs are moving up between the front legs and then the two front legs appear to move forward simultaneously. In the first part of the video Cooper is running. I have never actually seen a "bunny hop" that I knew was called that, but to me when Tigger runs it looks like something one might call a bunny hop just because he has more up and down motion in his run than Roo does. Roo runs flatter than Tigger, like he running to win a race and doesn't want to waste any motion. Tigger runs for fun.
