Here is a photo taken during the ball game. Please see lower lip for verification of need for towel:

JD is a great catcher!  It was fun to play ball with him, but I agree that the towel is indispensable.  He can work up a good slobber.

Thanks, Doris. Leslie also got some action photos of him getting major air, but there was a glitch trying to post them. Soon, I hope!

LOL, Sherri! It's hard to even throw the ball when it gets to the "foamy" point, because you can't even get a grip on it, it's so slippery!

Karen, if you throw the foamy ball does the slobber splatter everywhere as the ball goes flying through the air? LOL. I've gotten some dirty looks in the dog park on account of such a  thing. sometimes Sophie likes to bring the ball to strangers to throw, she walks between their legs and drops it, and before I can warn them they reach down and pick it up for her and are completely grossed out by the slobbery film. lol. the chuck-it is my best friend because I don't have to touch it.

Good video.  When I started to watch it was buffering so I muted and let it play through.  Haley heard the first second or two (before I muted it) and went crazy with wanting to go outside and play fetch.  He had to wait 20 minutes as he had dinner 40 minutes before and we are real strict about no play 1 hour before and 1 hour after eating.  It was a LONG 20 minutes.

F, you would have to experience a JD-slobber-soaked tennis ball to understand. Seriously, they become foamy.

I was not as concerned about the dirt in his mouth before the IBD.

Oh Karen, my house, me and my doodles would drive you round the bend. The doodles ingest dirt all the time and bring great amounts of debris in. I mostly ignore it until I can't any longer. I haven't used almost any toxin outside in years except for a judicious shot at poison ivy if I can't pull it, but that's usually outside the fence.
