This was Jackdoodle in January 2006; you can see how afraid he was when I first got him. If you watch this one, please watch 1 of my more recent videos, and see the difference love can make. Thanks!

Karen, This made me sad to see JD so fearful. I am so glad you two found each other and he has thrived under your loving care.

Voice:  I thought since it was from 2006 your voice sounded younger.

Ours is taking extra long.  In my mind I thought 3 months.  In 3 months is was worse than ever.  She loved us, but nothing else.  Not a paper bag, a dust ball, a fly, a door, outside.   It took 3 weeks--3 LONG WEEKS of Roger baking those nasty liver cookies and feeding them to her every day from afar for her to come to him.   Our house reaked of nasty liver.

We still have a very long way to go, but I think I see some relief for her.  I think many times I see her love and her smile and I know.... we have finally bonded.  Forever!   She is happy and that is what I wanted for her.   We are happy too.

Thanks for the video.   Hey, cool to hear your voice   :)

To all of you out there, give your dog some time.  Peace

I can hardly even believe that's the same dog who's lying here next to my chair!

OH Karen, I have never seen this video.   :(    I can relate.  What a heartbreak for you to review this video.

I can't wait for another year and see what happens.in our home.   We had a Christmas--rough but she made it through and even went and sat with Ian's ( my son's girlfriend)

Yep, I can relate.  My Chili was the same way 10 months ago when we first adopted him from his previous family.  And now, he's behaves just like Jack.  Love, trust, security, time... pretty amazing.  Loved all of your videos and pics!

Karen, this is just what Ned's brother, Teddy was like when we visited him in November. He is still skittish and fearful, but he has come so far already. It heartens me to see the progress Jackdoodle has made.
