Well, Christmas is over and all the dog treats are safely tucked away, all the stuffing from new toys has been vacuumed up and we are on to the new year and our plans for our next doodle romp. Our dogs just loved the Squirrels again and they each got a santa cow,(stuffed, or he was stuffed) that they both got to tear apart in the first hour. But boy did they have fun doing it.

I did get the Buster Cube and it's not that great a hit yet, but maybe it's too complicated and I have to show them how to move it around to get the kibble out of it. They got lots of tug toys as well and only the rope ones remain. ANYTHING with stuffing around here is just in shreds within minutes. So I'd say the rope toys would be their favorites as they both go to them often. I got ones with a ball in the middle and one with a ball at each end.

Murphy really enjoyed the animal Kongs. I bought the bunny and frog. He enjoyed the stuffed head, which did not last long, but the ball in the belly is enjoyment for hours. I would say it was well worth the money. I also bought a rope that is a steak flavor. He is still working on tearing a part the rope.
Our doodles loved the goose that honks and the Audobon racoon.

Molly got a "Ho Ho Ho" squeaky ball at the December Xmas gift exchange doodle romp. She LOVES it and for whatever reason, has not destroyed it. She carries it around softly whining. She also got a stuffed Xmas moose from her doodle boyfriend, Bentley, that she sleeps with. She carries that one around very gently and constantly licks it but hasn't started ripping out the seams yet which is normally the first thing she does with any of her stuffed toys. Xmas was an exceptionally good one this year for Molly and the fact that she's kept a stuffed toy longer than 5 minutes is amazing, let alone that it's been several days now!
Let me clarify here, Molly sleeps with Bentley, or she sleeps with the stuffed moose? Don't want to start nasty rumors about Molly here. And the Ho Ho Ho ball lasted 5 minutes here but Marley chewed on it for over an hour before it was totally in pieces. So that's pretty good for him. They also got an Ultimate Bone, at the Dec. Romp, that is now the toy of the day to try to destroy, but it seems to be holding it's own for now.

Ha! Molly sleeps (or slept) with her stuffed Moose. She finally chewed it's poor little face off a couple of days ago. She still carries it's body around though. :) Did you get the big red non-destructible Ultimate Bone that Molly brought as her gift exchange? She keeps those for at least a month or two. She's working on her second one.
Yes! Thank you! A month is pretty good. Murphy and Marley are still chasing eachother around with it! Where did you get it? Non-destructible....hummm....we'll see about that. I want to find a company that guarantees their toy to last and will exchange the chewed up pieces for a new one each time these guys destroy it. Any out there you know of?
So I have found the greatest chew toy for Doodles! Elk horn! At first, I was a little reluctant after talking to a client of mine (who has a doodle that I would swear was Fenway's twin) and she turned me on to them. I bought a round for all the dogs in the extended family and the smaller ones were straight but the large ones looks like actual elk horn but all of the dogs love them! We had to take Fenway's away from him yesterday as he was ignoring us over this thing. They have good minerals, are harder than all get out and have marrow for the dogs to get as well.
They are supposed to last a long time, but I will let you know. For any Doddle owner out there with doods who like to chew - give it a try!
Where did you find them, Eric?
I'll find a link to the site and post it. There were several sources but this one was the most reasonable.
Thank you. Do they smell, like the Bully Sticks?
No, they really don't. I haven't noticed any significant smells and that was one of the points my client talked about. Here is the link:

If you order 5 or more you get a slight discount. Let me know what you think!

Spencer received a Santa chicken which makes a different sound then the regular chicken which he loves, so now he has to greet both of them each morning. He also received a red ball with Ho,Ho, Ho on it from our gift exchange, that has been a hit with him too!
