We recently got this puppy, and we were told what breed he was, which appears to be WAY OFF BASE from the real truth. We believe he's a doodle. Can someone be more specific with us and let us know what is the real breed, based on the pics we have here. The multi-color one is our other dog, Temptation.
There's no sure fire way to guess his breed, but he's adorable. Between labradoodle and goldendoodle I think he looks most like a labradoodle. BUT--he also could be another breed mixed with a poodle or something altogether different. Whatever he is, he's a doll! Look forward to more pics as he grows =)
We were told he is Maltese/Lhasa Apso and Poodle/Bichon. This has to be SO FAR from the truth. His body mass is so much greater than the other dog that I would find him not likely to be any of those breeds.
If it is important for you to find out, you can have his DNA checked. My friend was very curious about her dog (a rescue) that she had it done. He turned out to be something completely different (English setter/poodle) than she had thought. But it really doesn't matter what they are. He has mostly small breeds in his background, so he may get a little larger than any of them. But since there is no retriever in his background, he would not be a labradoodle or a goldendoodle. Poodles, however, come in all sizes so he may be some poodle mix.
do you know when Brownie was born? how tall is he? how much does he weigh? He looks like my Samantha - an F1 LD.
No matter what his DNA, he is just adorable!!!
He was said to be born in September (mid-month) and he is already taller and heavier and stockier than our Shih-poo that is around 11 or 12 pounds and full-grown. Not sure how big Brownie will get, if you have any ideas please let us know!
