Does anybody know if this is a reputable site for finding a doodle? My uncle is looking for a puppy and is using this site as a reference. I just want to be sure it's not related to a Puppy Mill.

I did recommend this forum. I hope he signs up and gets to know some owners before making a final decision.

The website your uncle is using is owned by a huge national puppy brokerage corporation called "Purebred Breeders LLC" which is a Florida based company owned by the Chan family. It is a collection of hundreds of puppy mills breeding thousands of dogs of every kind under the most disgusting conditions. For any breed and/or every state, there is a similar website owned by Purebred Breeders LLC..."Arizona Labradoodle Breeders.com, "Minnesota Shih tzu breeders.com", etc.
This is the worst possible way to buy a puppy. They are neither reputable nor ethical. Pure puppy mill all the way.

Aside from the fact that they list every breed known to mankind you have o give them credit for a very reputable looking site. No wonder people get sucked in.

See, I don't think it looks reputable at all. The instant the page opens it looks like an internet puppy mill to me, right down to the photos of the dogs and the way they're presented. Too many, too much info, the pictures are all staged. That's what made me look further.

I don't know how you get all of the info Karen, but thank you for posting this for anyone that is looking to purchase a pup. This scares me because when I was researching for Lucy, I looked at these very sites, see how naieve
(? sp ) I was!!! I was very stupid when it came to buying a puppy AND I think the majority of people that are looking for dogs are as stupid as I was. There needs to be more education out there for the general public. I very well could of bought one of these pups. Not that I would of loved it any less, I would of just been promoting puppy mills and would of not even known it. Thank God Adina started DoodleKisses and I joined this great family of doodles and their humans.

All you have to do is look at the bottom of the "californiaGoldendoodlebreeders.com" and you see the LLC parent company info. From there, you do some googling. LOL
But all you have to do is look at the puppies to see what this is. They all look like puppy mill dogs.
I have radar for this stuff. And I'm on a mission.

Karen, I just googled Purebred Breeders LLC.
There were a lot of complain in regard to very sick puppies that should never have been sold, being shipped across US, and people are not recovering their refund or anything....It appears that in some cases, the puppy had passed away due to the severe health conditions..... :*-(
Really sick people.... I think they are just as bad as dog fighters.... sick. really sick.

And this is only one company. There are thousands. This is the problem. Just like with the dogfighting. We heard about one football player who was arrested, and when his place got shut down, people stopped thinking about it. But he was just one small operation. Almost Heaven got shut down, but they were just one small company, too.
As long as people want to buy puppies on the internet, with a picture and a price their only concern, this kind of company will thrive.

Thank you soooo much. When I looked at the site he gave me it just didn't feel right. I knew I would find the answer here. I just love DK. I'm going to try and get him on this site to ask questions before he decides on a puppy or a breeder.
