Everyone should have the site bookmarked anyway, or sign-up for daily email reminders. I click every day to feed the animals, year round.

I email the site to myself. Then everyday when I look at my mail I vote and click on "keep as new". I don't forget when its in my mail.

I can't believe that a Utah shelter won one week last time. DK probably has as many members as all of Utah : )

We couldn't believe that horses won in the state of NJ. How many freakin' horse people could there be in NJ? There's probably more horses in Utah.

I think there may be more than we think in the south, Sussex county and places like Gladstone. Given the zoning where I live I could even have a 3 legged horse since I don't have enough acerage : )

Best Friends in Utah is enormous and legendary; it's not just a shelter. It's the largest sanctuary for abused & abandoned animals in the country. Many unadoptable animals live out their lives there. They do wonderful work, and their community outreach programs are outstanding.

We work very closely with Best Friends, Several of their Regional Directors are DRC volunteers.

Can you believe I live in Utah and I didn't even know about best friends? I volunteer at the local humane society, I thought that was the biggest shelter... ha ha.

This is really embarrassing but I didn't even know about the shelter challenge until about three weeks before it ended. I was always wondering "What do they mean by 'I got a rabbit today, I got a bear today'?" I was so confused... once I found it all made sense... :-) I am glad to have a second chance to click everyday!

I click on the rescue site every day, but while there was the contest I bookmarked directly to the contest page also. This made it much easier for me.
