Has anyone experienced a behaviour change in their dog after neutering? Gavin is getting neutered in a couple of weeks. He will be six months old. He is fairly laid back, except when he had a chance at any type of contact with other people or dogs. I wonder if they settle down a little after the operation.
Nope! Kramer is 10 months old and just as active as ever, but there has been a lot less humping going on. He seems to have better control of his bladder and bowel habits but maybe this comes with maturity, too. We can now leave him in the house for 5-6 hours with no accidents, but we do have to "puppy-proof" before we go out since he still will chew on pillows, umbrellas etc. I do notice that other dogs aren't as aggressive towards him at the dog park. Keep us posted!

Ditto on nope! Leo had his surgery about a month ago and is now about 6 1/2 mos old. Not one BIT of change...and that includes his desire to have our male shih tzu bear his young. Sorry!
Chewie was neutered a little over two months ago...he was a couple days shy of six months at the time. I don't think I have noticed any change in behavior at all...no better, no worse.
Charlie was neutered at 5 months, I did not notice any change in his behaviour, he's always very active outdoors wanting to play what ever game I'm willing to play with him, zooming all over the place. He settles indoor, he's kenneled trained, so he always kennels in when he comes indoors, then seems relaxed when he's released.
