According to the Chris Christensen website:
A pin brush in a slicker brush type body with ground polished tips and a lightweight beechwood body. Designed by Chris Christensen with a patent pending for it's uncompromising design. Glide through the coat with less wrist movement than standard designed pin brushes with this new state-of-the-art design. The angle and the contours of the handle will do all the work for you opposed to your wrist being at a constant angle. Excellent for tired wrist and carpal tunnel.

Now I'm not one to rave about grooming products. My dogs don't mat and I have a hard time believing hype about various products' magical wonders =)

However I really like this brush. At least I like it better than my slicker, which is the only other brushed I've used. Rosco has never liked his legs being brushed and with this brush (which is far less scratchy) he totally tolerates it. It glides through his fur quite nicely.

So maybe not magical, but a really good product. I recommend it =)

I've converted...... I have brushed Jazz every night since I got her (8 wks). Mainly because now that she's 9 mos, she looks at me like I'm crazy if I ask her to go to bed without it. I sit on the floor and dim the lights.... I can only guess it's become her "bonding" time with me alone. I think the key to a good brushing is also a "tired" doodle. Hence..... we do it before bedtime.

I've spent more money trying out brushes and combs than I want to admit. This one works -- the pins are rounded and not as sharp as Les Poochs and get deeper than the cheaper brushes. I can actually "hear" a matt with this brush (I'm not kidding). The only downside I've found is I cannot do her face with it -- not sure if it's the size (I got the smallest), but I use a smaller cheap brush around her nose.

Anyone with a puppy -- don't throw your money away on others.... just pay for it and stop looking at them at the stores. This one is good.
I have this brush and absolutely love it! It is wonderful getting through the doodle coat. I use it on my Havanese, also.
Hi Cathy,
Your post caught my attention because we both like the Chris Christenson brush and we both have a doodle and a Havanese. My Havanese, Havey, is 9 years old [next week] and my GoldenDoodle, Moses, is 4 years old. They absolutely adore each other and hate to go outside unless the other is with them. They are both super wonderful ... both of them are certified Therapy dogs.

We've had the 16mm T-brush for around a month...and I also LOVE it. I hope it works as good after Bedford gets his adult coat but with his thick fleece 7 month coat...it's a dream.
The problem with brushing Quincy isn't that he's matted, it's just that his fur is so thick that it's difficult to get through. Today I used a short tooth undercoat rake. It went through his fur easier but I had enough fur to make a sweater. I usually get a fair amount when I brush him but I'm afraid if I keep using this he'll be naked. I'de like him to enjoy being brushed instead of it being a minor battle. (major battle if I don't tether him to something), The groomer said I was doing a good job brushing him and I really don't want to get him clipped really short. Last grooming was to about 1 1/2 inches and $175 later too much to get him groomed often. So thanks all advice appreciated. The Chris Christensen sounds like a good possibility. Happy New Year from Torbay, Newfoundland, Canada.
Everyone talked me into it! I just ordered the 27mm T-Brush. Hope Marlow enjoys it!
I just received the brush yesterday and Marlow loves it. He did not want me to stop brushing him last night! And I was even able to do his tail, which is a major feat! And he was much better while I did his legs too! I am happy with this brush!
I have this brush in the smaller size. My mini labradoodle doesn't like it as much as the metal comb. It seems to pull at the fur. Maybe my puppy is more sensitive. For the cost of this item I sure hope my puppy grows into liking it better than he does now.
