Where is the doodle tail ?

I have noticed all of the big furry tails in most of the goldendoodle pictures.  Chewie's tail is so skinny.  Do you think that his tail will get fuller as his coat changes?

At 6 months Gavin's tail has just begun to get it's feathers. Hopefully he will take after his half-brother Jip, pictured here with him when Gavin was a bit younger.

Well Ollie's tail was long ans skinny and he is 10 mos now and it is laong and full and furry, give Chewie some tiime to develop a little...I am sure he will be just fine,,,He is iooo cute....

Thanks for all the great responses and pictures. I will be patient and see how Chewie matures. I will post a new picture after his tail starts to change. I can always get the information I need on DK and I love that. My DH said he is glad that I found this site too. I think so that I don't drive him crazy with all of my doodle questions !!

When Comiskey was little I asked the vet...she said the tail was "roped" and that eventually the "rope" would unwind! and unwind it did...she has a beautiful saber tail now.

Fenway my labradoodle is a year and a half and still has a skinny little rat tail, but our goldendoodle isn't even a year yet and has a beautiful tail. Not sure if Fen will ever get a pretty tail, but oh well we think she's pretty anyway.

I think that Goldendoodles tend to get very feathery or plumby tails which take after the Goldent Retriever whereas the Labradoodles have a more Lab like tail but with curls. Just my observation for the most part.

Nope, not necessarily. Calla has a beautiful feathery tail.

Neely's did. Its a big curl with lots of sabre length hair on it. He looks just like your little one when he was little almost twins.
