What Does Your Doodle Smell Like?

I am not sure what combination of things Harlow has gotten in to create the smell, but for the last few days she has smelled like pancakes & maple syrup.  I have not make pancakes in months, so it wasn't our trash.  But with the way she smells I am going to have to make pancakes or go to IHOP to curb my cravings.

ok, all you doodle sniffers ...... do your doodles sniff you? Anytime I've had something like a fruity water or a mint or something like that they girls are always coming up with their noses at my mouth sniffing me ...... wonder what they think I smell like?

Yep, my pack likes to sniff me if I have had a mint.

Yup, both of mine sniff me too :) The day I met and brought home Kona, we had a long layover for the next plane. I was holding my new little bundle and all of a sudden she started sniffing every inch of my face, the went back to the beginning and licked everywhere she sniffed! I felt like she was telling me yup, you are mine now, we sealed it with kisses.

Guinness always smells like Doggie Daycare. It's that multi breed slobber smell. He only goes once a week, but that smell lingers. He does smell me. He especially likes to lick my mouth right after I've brushed my teeth...that minty smell I guess. He does the same thing if I have a mint in my mouth....lick, lick, lick.

haha...just kidding. He smells super yummy after he gets a bath..like peppermint. On normal days he just smells like Timbow and I love it! :)

I would love it if Sheba or Duke smelled like pancakes, Fritos etc. Just anything that smells good. I can give them a bath and within 3 days they smell bad. Duke especially. I think part of the problem is our country water. We treat our water but there is always a yucky smell to it. (My bathroom towels never had a bad smell to them until I moved to our house in the country). I think the water smell stays in their fur like it does in our towels. Oh to have city water again!

OK, I am officially nuts! just read this discussion and had to go smell Achilles. I'm happy to report that he has a very nice scent. Not sure what but it's nice.Achilles thought this was fun. My 16 year old son may have me committed.

Well I know mine needs a bath as he DOESN'T smell like fresh anything right now. I LOVE the smell of him normally.

I have to say, my Lab had the best smell. Yes, he smelled like wet dog when wet, but smelled really good otherwise. For a while after he died I actually checked the places he liked to sleep the best to see if his smell was there. After a while it wasn't, but every time I turn on the vacuum, even now, 4 months after he died, I still smell that smell I loved! Not sure I can say what it smelled like, but it was very comforting.

I was hoping my doodle (Pup comes home Saturday!!!) would smell good too, because I have a super sensitive nose. I'm glad to hear that many of them do smell good!

Aww, puppy smell. It's the best....along with puppy kisses and puppy breath.
