Finally dug out. Beautiful day today here in southern Maryland. Heidi and Bob, try using a hand held shower to melt the snow when it's real heavy. works great.
No big problems in northern NJ. The roads are pretty good and I think there weren't many power outages. I was in NYC today and aside from light traffic and cars snowed in everything was back to normal.
Did you read Forbes Magazine this month? My area was voted the worst place to live in the winter. I find that hard to believe, although it may get me an extra ounce of sympathy. Waaa
All is deep and white and wet here. Glad everyone who has checked into this post is okay.
Obviously, Forbes did not research MN or we clearly would have won that title! HA! I certainly cast my sympathy vote your way as well though. Hang in there-maybe soon we will not be posting about to remove those darned snowballs from our doodles. Better days are coming...
Things are good in CT. We didn't even get as much snow as the mid Atlantic states (and I'm not complaining). Guinness seems to be "over" the charm of snow. He was excited and happy with the first few storms, but no more. He's had enough of it. He goes out in the morning now only out of necessity...runs to his potty spot and goes in record time. Then he's back in to snuggle and be cozy. I took him to the Park today where he loves to "track"...nose to the ground smelling all the wonderful animal scents. The snow was getting in the way of that, and I could see he wasn't happy about it. He gave up and headed back to the car. The thrill was gone.
In Central CT we have had a lot of hype-for both storms-but no big results....it is funny how when up to 25 inches are predicted and you only get 8....8 then feels like no snow at all! Sadie LOVES the snow and finds it curious to watch us get all bundled up just to take her for a romp. Then, after she plays she doesn't really get why we don't just want to hang out there while she lays down to rest. She finds us humans to be very high maintenance~Thanks for asking!
Oh, Thanks for asking!!! That was an IV from her MRI to be sure her seizures are due to epilepsy and not some other God awful thing. Happy ending-her brain looked great-and with phenobarb she is seizure free & side effects seem to have leveled off....at first she was so sleepy, hungry & thirsty.....but now pretty much back to our normal gal!
I can't get over how they don't feel the cold....really none of the elements bother Sadie.....in the pouring rain she really doesn't get why we try to hurry her~I have even said to her before, "look around...do you see any other fools out here with their dogs Sadie??" smiles...
