Well this isn't one of my favorite topics I just had to ask... My dogs have terrible gas including Lincoln my Goldendoodle. I feed them Blue Buffalo Large Breed, and Blue Buffalo canned Chicken and Brown Rice, Lamb, and Fish with Sweet Potato. I'm also letting them eat Pork raw hides, and give them Mother Hubbards biscuits. I never feed them table scraps or people food except maybe a real piece of chicken or beef or potato every now and then, but not often. Help I'm being fumigated on a daily basis!!!!
Yes it did so I switched to Eukanuba. I too thought it was the pork raw hides, or the treats I gave him, but taking it away didn't help. So it was the food that didn't agree with his tummy. I don't give a rawhide every day though. Maybe 2 - 3 times a week. We've been stink free since November. It was really bad too. I kept blaming the kids, and they blamed me, but it was Bear.:) Too funny. I also think like people, some foods agree with you and some foods don't. Goodluck.
Diane, check with us in the Food Group. Eukanuba is not one of our recommended foods...major player in the 2007 recalls, responsible for many dog & cat deaths, ingredients imported from China through food brokers.
Please do join us in the Food Group, Heidi. This is an absolutely horrendous food. In addition to the ingredients imported from China through 2nd and 3rd party food brokers, where there is no quality control oversight of the supply chain, this food gets the lowest rating on Dog Food Analysis because it is such low quality...only 1 star out of a possible 6. Here's the review:
I go to the butcher and have him cut a cow femur, into two inch bones. It never costs me more than three or four dollars and I get a dozen bones with marrow in the middle. I freeze them and pull them out for him to chew. I have also gotten knuckle bones, which are softer, from the meat market. Bully sticks are very expensive and Webber eats them so fast that entertaining him with a bone is defeated.
Oh My Goodness! Thank heavean I'm not the only one! My Pup Bear has the worst gas imagineable! We feed him Blue Seal Active Formula because it's All Natural. He gets home-ade dog biscuits and Pupperoni. Believe me, I thought I was the only one. If you can find help...Please let me know!
Maybe you should remove the Pupperoni, and see what happens. Oh the other thing I forgot to mention is that both of my dogs seem to get gasier with Sweet Potato.
The Blue Seal food is also loaded with corn and chicken fat, which can cause digestive problems.
