Is it wrong to make my boy dogs wear pink? Sometimes I wish they were girls so I could get them cute collars and accessories. Everyone thinks they are girls anyway, even AFTER I say their names (which clearly are neither female names nor unisex names).
I don't believe in color discrimination! Ha ha, seriously, I think as long as they don't care (which they probably don't) there is no harm. And, I saw a shirt once that said "Tough Guys Wear Pink" so there you have it. :-)
My daughter, who wore pink ruffles as a baby, was cooed over by people telling me what a cute little boy she was! My son wore her hand-me-down pink pj's.
And furthermore, both my boys went through a stage where hot pink and purple were their favorite colors. None of them has an identity crisis.
PS My DH has a couple of baby pink shirts!
If you like pink, I say go for it.
They can but should they? Only if you want them to but people will certainly confuse them more. I blame ESN for the fact that Luca could easily be mistaken for a b---- : ) But he's so sweet it's hard to imagine.
I vote YES for boys in pink!! I've dressed Boo in pink accessories...he was mistaken for a girl, but oh well...he was still very dashing! I'm sure Noah and Sherlock look quite handsome in pink! :)
Though you may want to avoid pink bows... Boo wasn't too thrilled with them...heh heh...
I think it's fine for them to wear pink around the house. When you take them out....that's another story. There are lots of potential problems with that...
-the other dogs will talk about them behind their backs,
-even worse, the other dogs will point and laugh,
-they will experience an identity crisis, and then you'll paying big therapy bills,
-they will decide they are girls trapped in boys' bodies,
-they will ask for sex change operations,
-they'll want to shop for "pretty things" all the time,
-the list is endless.
Jane, you crack me up!
I'll vote against pink on boy dogs, too. But royal purple can be an option.
Although I honestly think the Jack could wear pink and people would still know he's a boy...just because he's such a big slob.
