I'm so glad you posted this...or I would have! This was the funniest thing when I first saw it...ridiculous!
Ooooh when I saw this it was narrated by an asian woman with a very strong accent, so it was even funnier--no offense to anyone of Asian decent! It was just the cultural difference that made it funnier.
OMG...how embarrassing this would be. Look at all the straps the poor dog has to wear just to rig up the contraption. This sort of reminds me of when we took our children to the San Diego Zoo. We had one in a stroller and the other was about 4 or 5 years old. We were looking at the elephants and there was a man in the corral scooping up poop. All of a sudden the elephant started to go so he just put the shovel under his behind and caught it as it dropped out. Do you have any idea how huge the shovel was and how heavy it got for the poor man. My husband took this moment for one of his wonderful father/son chats. "this is why you want to go to college, otherwise you will be scooping up elephant poop when you grow up"!! He went on to be Valedictorian with a 4.75 GPA in high school and went to UC Berkeley and graduated with a business degree from the Haas School of Business at UCB!!! Our daughter who was probably close to 2 and was in the stroller seemed to get the message as well...same GPA and went to Vassar College on a tennis scholarship and is head of an Internet company!!! Just shows you what watching poop can do for your kids!!! lol
"this is why you want to go to college, otherwise you will be scooping up elephant poop when you grow up"!!
Who hasn't said this to their children?
ROFL!!! I'm crying here!
OMG I saw a lady with one today!!!!! She had it fastened to the base of her dog's tail - not the way the picture shows. It looked stupid that way also. I couldn't figure out why she would have done this and why her dog wasn't trying to chew it off!
Okay so I am an English woman very happily and proudly living in the USA but it is these kinds of videos that make the whole world think that all yanks are "crazy". All I could think was how flipping degrading to the poor dog and how could anyone how had one ounce of pride step out with that strapped to their dog....Shame on the nutcase that invented it...
It's actually a Japanese invention, and the original video was filmed in Japan. The clip above has an American "voice-over".
Here's the original, which Adina referred to above. It's 6 minutes long, and hilarious, because of the inflections of the narrator, for whom English is not her first language.
