Emma is a very happy, healthy almost two-year old; however, every so often, and always in the morning, without any provocation, she vomits yellow bile.  Usually she hasn't eaten anything odd or unusual, which would explain it, I think.  Does anyone else's Doodle do this, and if so, what do you recommend to prevent/stop it?  Or is this something that I have to live with?  Thanks.

I have read on DK about some dogs that throw up when their stomachs are really empty, like first thing in the morning. Try a search for that for previous discussions.
Cooper used to this all the time! First, make sure you have your dog checked for any parasite or something like that - Giardia is a common culprit. If all is clear, try just giving her a small snack right before bed. I feed Cooper 2 of the mini California Natural bars at bed time - like 11pm - right before we turn out the lights. Since then, no problems!
Taquito does this from time to time. I wouldn't worry too too much if Emma's vet checkups are always fine. My case is kind of weird because Taquito has some kidney issues, so I tend to worry more than the typical pet owner about a little throw up. I should clarify that the kidney issues did not come out of nowhere - they came from bad dog treats from china in 2007 (huge recall time). So don't panic when I say that!
If you get worried, have a routine blood check to make sure everything is okay internally.
Jack does this occasionally, too. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, and it happens so rarely that it doesn't trouble me. I usually think he may have swallowed some fuzz from one of his balls. Maybe you could ask the vet about it if it bothers you.
My vet told me it is fairly common for dogs to occasionally vomit the bile that has accumulated during the night. It upsets their stomach and so they vomit. Once they eat they are usually fine. If it's chronic, that's a different story. This is a symptom of IBD (only when it's chronic), which is why I originally had the discussion with her. With Guinness it only happens once every few weeks. I think giving the snack before bed makes a lot of sense. I'm going to try that myself.
This is so interesting, because now that I think of it, Taquito generally does it when he didn't eat something later in the evening. I am glad I found saw this because I am going to try a snack in the evening right before bedtime.
This is so very strange but yesterday on my walk with Wilson when I got back from work he did throw up some yellow bile, I normally give him a small treat when I get home but I did not we just went for our walk I felt so very bad especially after I read about it and found out that he just might of had a empty stomach so...... this afternoon when I got home I gave him a small cookie treat and went on our walk and all was fine. I will always make sure I do give him something little to eat. My DH also gave him a treat at noon but I guess he was hungry
My doodle Gracie used to do this fairly often. Our vet said that this is common in some dogs when they have an empty stomach. Since we have tried to pay closer attention to this and started feeding her two smaller meals a day at noon and about 5 oclock and have fed her high quality dog food, i.e. no preservatives, organic, etc. she has almost completely stopped having this issue with the bile. Hope this helps.

My sister-in-laws lab does or rather did this... he actually had reflux. I believe he's on one pepcid every day and he gets a small bagel each night before bad. It worked.. he hasn't done this in quite a while...
Beckett used to do that about once a week or so. I read that it can be because of an empty stomach. So I started giving him a small treat or two before bed and he stopped vomiting! So i'm pretty sure that was his problemn. It hasn't happened since. I do think some doodles have sensitive tummies. Beckett still can't have certain treats to chew on... like flossies, bully sticks. etc. He loves them but always threw up afterwards. We waited and tried as he got older but he still threw up so we stopped. He just has his regular treats. I wish he could have something like those cause he loved them and they kept him occupied for awhile :)
