What color were your doodles parents??

Since we all have a different colored doodle does anyone know how they ended up with their color?

Tori's mom was a tri-color australian shepherd and her dad was a golden/tan poodle.. She favors her mom I think. Her hair is more aussie than poodle too I think (except when she got a couple of bad hair cuts for her first few groomings)

Thank you! What a great mix of color Murphy is! It's so funny how they change color... Tori's paws went from a copper tan to off-white. Actually all of her off-white today used to be copper (except under her butt - there she always resembled a white tailed deer to me). Funny - I originally asked for a merle, and last minute changed to the tri-color.

You're welcome Shelly. I miss mine being those little cuddly puppies too. If you decided to get another doodle what kind would you get? So many choices...What breed, what color, what size. I KNOW I would have a really hard time deciding!

Murphy is a F1 GD. and his parents were not an unusual color. Somewhere along the line on his dad's side their were silver and some other colors. He is a tan sable color=) It was a lot of fun to watch his color change......

Murphy had a dramatic change!!! At least you know what his color is, I still don't know what Sheba is called.

Sheba's dad was the golden retreiver. Here is a picture of Sheba's mom Pepper. The breeder told me Pepper's color was called silver beige. I still to this day don't know for sure what Sheba's coat color is called!

Whatever her color is called - I call it beautiful! She is just stunning. (I can see where her mom got her name from)

Willy's mom was a chocolate Goldendoodle and his dad was a blue merle Goldendoodle. Willy is F2b and his grandfather is a blue merle mini poodle. Willy is considered a silver blue merle as his coat is a pale grey and he has no tan or brown markings. Willy's color has never changed!
