Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Yesterday I was reading reviews and came across the review for the Everlasting Fun Ball (EFB).  Shelby has a Buster Cube and enjoys it, so I thought the EFB would be a good choice for her and a way to keep her occupied.

I got it out, put some treats in it and Shelby went right at it.  I haven't seen her successfully get anything out of it.  We got the small ball (given she is only 5 months) she just keeps rolling it around.   I want her to have some success with it, so that it is something she enjoys!

Just curious if any of you out there have one and how long it took your Doodle to figure it out.  I am guessing she has to bite down on the ball to break the treats into smaller pieces so they will fall out.

Try kibble!
My daughter just told me yesterday about this ball and how much her French Bulldog loves this thing. I was going to go get one this week.
Ooh, I have to try this! I got the Everlasting Treat Ball last week, but Quinn had the (expensive) ends popped off and eaten within 5 minutes. This looks like a better design.
My Guinness did the same thing during his big "chewing phase". That's one way to get the treats out, just chew off the ends. It was much easier and faster than getting them out one by one. LOL
Turns out I just had the wrong size... he's been on the large one for an hour and has not been able to crack it. This is my new favorite thing ever!

Where did you find this? Allie LOVES balls and I think she would love this toy.
I found it at PetSmart... they had both the small and large. On a funny side note - I struggled for about 5 minutes to get the treats out of the ball myself and am going to try some kibble, although Shelby's kibble is pretty large. I think once she gets more jaw power she will do better with this ball. She does play with it... so it's doing what I hoped it would do!
Yesterday was dog food run day. While I was at PetSmart I asked about the Everlasting Treat Ball. The sales associate said they had stopped carrying them but he had 1 large on left that he would sell me for $4. I said 'sure'. The treat in the end only lasted a couple of hours at my house. But the dogs are enjoying playing keep away with the ball in the back yard today. The Blue Buff kibbles falls out of the ETB too quickly. I like the design of the Everlasting Fun Ball better and going to give it a try.
Astro loves his with nothing in it at all. Just an empty ball.
I agree, smaller kibble! Lucy and Sophie have one (although we left it at a friends house last year in Alabama....we are going back this week-end so I'm sure they will be excited to see it again).
I had one for Chapin, and he really loved it. But then, I read the ingredients....
We have it, but don't put the everlasting treat in it any more. It made Tori really thirsty. I did put kibble inside, but she quickly learned how to get them out - FAST. But I did buy one of those odd shaped nylabones and stuffed that in it and she chews on that and holds the ball with her paws... she loves it. I also have the cube (the one that looks like a die). she loves this too, but I have to watch her with this as she slams it into the wood work and paws it across my wood floors to get out her kibble. Speaking of toys... I just bought this star shaped very thick rubber treat dispenser. She loved this too but took her only one day to (partially) gnaw off one of the points. But boy can this toy bounce...
