Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Yesterday the Doodle Messenger added lots of new information as primarily Medical Resources for all Doodle owners and Breeders and friends of Doodles everywhere. If you are interested you can read that here on DK, BUT,  of immediate importance is the addition to the Messenger as an ongoing tab    ..LOST and FOUND Doodles.  Photographs of two missing now are on the Messenger...just hit the Lost and Found tab http://doodlemessenger.webs.com  scroll down in that section and please take a look at them and their information submitted by their owners.  These owners are hoping that all of us in Doodle Communities throughout the United States might send e-mails about these dogs to family and friends in the areas where the dogs were last seen, or close to that area, OR, if you live in the area to keep your eyes open. Both families are beside themselves and have and are searching on a daily basis but so far with no luck. With a weekend now approaching this is perfect timing to get the word out. This section of the Messenger is a collaborative effort of the DRC, IDOG Rescue and Rehome, and the Doodle Messenger. to put in one location that has world wide impact these Doodles  All of us encourage you to PLEASE  send word to your family and friends in these areas as soon as possible. LOOK if you live in these areas

contact numbers for the families are listed.  Thank you so much.

I hope these doodles are found. They are not in my area, but I always look out for any lost dogs no matter what.
Thanks, of the one in MA the owner has just e-mailed three sightings in the last week, they are setting up cameras and bait traps. The owners live in CT, but the dog bolted ( I believe while the family was on vacation in MA....) so they are back and forth, a worrisome time for them. It appears to be a smaller geographic and demographic area than the dog lost in FL. Let's hope for both owners.
I went to the lost and found as soon as I saw the link. We recently got a shelter doodle and I wonder if his family abandoned him, turned him in or lost him.
That's always the mysterious background music! Sometimes shelters will report the dog is turned in by an owner. The question is whether they mean the "real" owner or a "momentary" owner. And then the ever present term, "stray". Generally more information is required of the person wanting to adopt than the person turning in an animal. Night drop boxes, too, are a pretty good example of that. It's one of the so many reasons this years volunteer Founders Board members voted to include this new section in the Doodle Messenger. We hope everyone will take a long look at these who are Lost and see if there is any similarity to Doods any of us have seen, even recently adopted and now chomping on a kong on our own kitchen floor! Thank you for going to the link and continuing to check. The owners of these dogs are literally sick at their loss.
