How do you suggest cutting curlier facial hair?

My miniature LD with a fleece coat has very curly facial hair.  It really pops out and more curly than some of the pictures posted of him.  I like to see his brows but, still want him to be able to see.  I also like a  mustache but, his fur is curling up and puffing out now.  His beard is straight.  The groomer cut the fur between his eyes.  I'd like Yogi to look like a LD and not a poodle in the face.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I know what you mean when you say your dog looks like a bichon. I thought the same thing. I like the look. Very good suggestion.

He is so handsome. I love his look. My Yogi is 6 months. I am hoping his adult comes in like yours. He is starting to get spirals with new growth. Thanks for the photo.

Ned is always puffy on top after a groom and even before one. His beard and under his eyes is straighter but his neck and head are really, really curly and don't grow as much.I would like his ears a bit shorter.

Thanks for sending pictures. Just love the puff on top. Yogi has straight hair under his eyes and curlier in the face just like Ned.
