Question about dog parks in New Jersey

We live in central jersey, southern Middlesex county, and wanted to know if there are any dog parks to avoid.  There are tons of dog parks in this area and in Monmouth and Ocean county, but I've heard pros and cons about many of them...more negatives than positives unfortunately.  We are trying the Rocky Top Dog Park today in Princeton area and hopefully that goes well.  Just wondering if anyone has other recommendations for parks in this area?  Our goldendoodle turned 1 yesterday and plays extremely well with other dogs, but we've never taken him to an actual dog park yet because of all the stories we've heard.   Any suggestions would be much appreciated! =)  Thanks!

We do a month by month...it's $25 monthly. My husband and I are teachers so we will use it quite a bit in the summer and then probably freeze the membership during the winter months.

Well, it looks like I won't be going until next Saturday. I ordered a halter for him and thought it was coming today, but it won't be here until Monday. Also, he's getting carsick...I need to figure out what to do about that because it's a long ride to Princeton from Matawan. So, let's try to meet up next Saturday, around the same time?

I'm disappointed but I want to make sure I can control him when I go and that he won't get sick all over my car like he did just now. Everytime...

Awwww! My uncle's dog got carsick until he was about 1 year old and then he seemed to just outgrow it. For whatever reason they said keeping him in the front seat, instead of the back, worked, but I will ask him if they did anything else in particular. Next Saturday would be great to meet up.
