I cut these this morning:
They are very old peonies, the old-fashioned kind with a wonderful fragrance. I have had peonies before, but never fragrant ones.
Anyone else have peonies blooming now?
Thanks Karen...as soon as the rain stops we are going outside to cut them!!! I will photograph them once they are in the vase and attach the photos once I am back home next week!!
Like too many things in my garden I don't know it's name unfortunately. I don't remember seeing it before but some things take a couple of years or more to bloom.
I just got back from visiting my grandbabies in Boston. Here are some of the photos I took of the garden at my son's house. I just LOVE Peonies and wish I could grow them here in San Diego. I am going to do a search and see if there are any that have been made for our climate.
