Just finished all of Stanley Coren's books again, I love them! My favorite is "How Dogs Think". I am now re-reading the Dan Brown novels. I LOVE Angels and Demons!
Ooooh, I really enjoyed Angels and Demons, too! :)
I forgot about Dan Brown - he is awesome! Angels and Demons was one of my very favorites. The only one I didn't love like I thought I would was the Divinci Code - maybe it was all the hype I was let down.
We used to read Dan Brown books as read alouds on our bike trips to Colorado and Utah. There would be four of us and we would take turns reading aloud. That way everyone would get the book read at the same time and it was a good use of riding time. Worked for us.
Just finishing up Greg Iles' The Devil's Punch Bowl. Action pact and suspenseful it takes place in Natchez, Mississippi and is the story of Penn Cage,a former lawyer ,author and current mayor of Natchez .In his quest to avenge the murder of his childhood friend he encounters some truly evil characters. Unfortunately part of the plot deals with dogfighting. Terribly descriptive and not for all dog lovers.
I'm reading The Lonely Polygamist by Bradly Udall. It's fiction - highly recommended for any fans of Big Love!
Ohh...I'll have to check that out!! I read the 19th Wife and a book called Saints that were along the same theme (I'm a southern jew, but I find Mormonism very interesting as reading matter, both regular and fundamentalist kinds)
Have you read Lost Boy by Brent Jeffs? He is Warren Jeff's nephew, and wrote a book about growing up polygamist, and abuse he faced. Actually, Warren Jeff's brother, Ward Jeffs, lived across the street from me at my last apartment. He is a polygamist. I believe he had 3 wives, but only one lives with him now. He's a very nice guy. Brent his son, the author of that book, also lived there. Ward had 11 boys, living with him. He had more kids who had already moved out. WHEW!

I was raised Mormon/LDS (not fundamentalist) and left the church about a year ago, so I also find all of this material interesting. :-)
I haven't, but absolutely will now. I read a book called "Lost Boys" by Orson Scott Card. While the book wasn't about Mormonism per se, it was about a Mormon family (it's a really good book, involving a mystery but can also be heart-wrenching).
I love Orson Scott Card. Ender's Game is my favorite!
Oh I am on that. Great suggestion!!!
I haven't started a new book yet but the last books I have read (not in order of favorites) are:

1. Olive Kitteridge
2. Lark and Termite
3. The Little Giant of Abdereen County *
4. Prayers for Sale *
5. Mathilda Savitch
6. The 19th Wife
7. Shanghai Girls *

The * books were my favorites in the list.
