Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi Everyone, I thought it would be interesting to show the various coat changes in our F1 Doodles. State the type of Doodle, the age and add the pics. I think it would be fun so see all the differences.

He started out with straight, barely wavy fur, then had very long straight fur, now his hair has gotten much more curly wavy... In the last picture he is eight months old. Who knows what he'll look like four months from now?

Is he a Golden Doodle? My Sadie is a labradoodle and the coat she at about 10 mos old is about the same as it is now at 20 mos.
Here are pics of Lucy from 11 weeks to present: (The middle pic is 11 weeks, top pic 1 year old and last is present)

I love the loose curl fleece coat of an F1
She does have a beautiful coat. Is she a Goldendoodle?
Its a lot of fun to watch and see how much our puppies grow in to their skin.

4mon.
First fourth of July. She did good with the fire works.

1yr and 6mon.
she is a beach lover!!!!!!
How wonderful that you have such a nice beach that you can take her too. She looks like a big girl!! What a cutie.
I LOVE these posts! Laika is only 6 months old so her coat hasn't gone through many stages. She is dark brown it really looks like that might change after a summer in the sun! We know light Doodles who started just as Brown as she is! I'm going to wait another month and post the changes. I love being able to see how everyone's Pups have changed over the months/years!
It's fun to look at all of the doods changes! Holly's coat hasn't changed too much, it's gotten a little curlier. Here's a pic of her at 3 months and at 10 months. She sheds quite a bit but hasn't had any matting yet.

these pictures are so cute. My groodle Molly has also changed her coat a lot over her 3 years, and now she is getting quite a lot of white "highlights" in some areas of her red coat is this a poodle characteristic?
We were lucky with Penny, as a medium F1 labradoodle we understood we couldn't be sure with what we were going to end up with. We actually got penny as an older pup (almost 15 weeks) so we had a better idea of her coat type. She is now 2 with with a curly fleece coat, she doesn't shed but she does mat easily, especially when her coat gets long.

The first pic is Penny at 15 weeks with a little wave, the second at 8 months when her hair was really long and the last one at a year and a half with a closer clip. We also got lucky with her size! at 15 weeks she was already about 16 pounds and people kept saying she was going to be standard (breeder promised she would be a max of 45lbs), she ended up topping off at the 30-35 pound range

What a pretty coat, I would have guesses she was an F1b by that fleecy coat. She is a doll!!

Interesting coat changes, can't wait to see the next posts when he is older.

It's funny how different they can look from their parents.  My Sadie's mother was a black lab and her father an apricot poodle.  She is cream colored with some darker, apricot areas and has a shaggy coat.
