I thought so too, Joanne!
I was just reading to the end and then was going to say it looks like "Starlit"! I think she is adorable and I also love the name!
I thought the same thing when I saw this picture.
I thought so too! That little white color burst on the nose is so distinctively Startlit (and really just heart-meltingly adorable)
Yes, she does.
Well she is adorable, doodle or not, and I would be in serious trouble if she were located in Nashville.
I'm glad this dog is nowhere NEAR the state of TN, or my parents would have already gotten her to be pals with their Shaggy!
Im heart broken to read that another Lhasa Apso at this shelter was left tied up at their door with a note. He is 17 years old!!!!

The note said the owners were getting a divorce - but how could you abandon a 17 year old dog at a shelter. I wonder whether some people have hearts. There is no way on earth that I could just walk away from a friend that had been in my life for that long - knowing that the chances of him being rehomed were so small.

Imagine spending your last months in a kennel after years in a home - I wish I were in the U.S and I'd be over there to get him!

This is him - Chapman.

Oh my GOSH.. what a cutie! SEVENTEEN years?! How could you do that?! How much longer could he possibly live? they obviously took great care of him to live this long. And then they just dump him in a shelter??? Something just doesn't sound right! Maybe they meant to write SEVEN years?! Even still.... how could they leave him there? Where is he?
This is really unbelievable. Surely there was someone they knew who could have taken this little dog, who must not be terribly active or require much space.
To add a positive note to this discussion, this is a really good private rescue facility. These dogs are not in danger of being euthanized and are being well cared for.
It says that he stays with the staff behind the desk so that he has company, so they really sound like they are doing their best for him.

I too can't believe that someone the family knew couldn't take the little man - he would probably only need a comfy chair to sleep on for most of the day and a few cuddles. How hard is that? I really hope he gets to spend the rest of his days in a home.

He's in PA -

17 years old. I am sick to my stomach. I don't really get that.
