Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Okay, so doodle fever has struck again.  We are adding a little girl goldendoodle to our family.  She is a light caramel (apricot hair with a rose nose) and will be joining our chocolate goldendoodle, Webster.  For some reason, we can come up with lots of boys names, but we are struggling with girls names.  The names Dixie, Belle, Daisy, Bailey, Lindy, Penny, Mabel, Rosie, and Darcy have been used by us or family members.

We are trying to find a name which "fits" with the name Webster.  One idea is Charlotte (Charlotte's Webster :-) .  I thought of it as a joke and my husband actually likes it.

There are so many great names, does anyone have some clever girl names?  Our boy name list included Mozart, Crockett, Boone, Newton, Edison.  The closest girl name I can come up with is Glory (somewhat patriotic sounding).

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated!

My grandma had an apricot poodle named Jasper (fitting name). When Jasper died, they got another poodle and named him Jingles. My grandma kept calling Jingles the wrong name so they just changed his name to Jasper. Doesn't work as well for a black poodle. Now, when telling family dog stories, I call them DJ and AJ for Dead Jasper and Alive Jasper. Yes, I know, it's terrible, and yet I'm still one of her favorite grandkids (out of 20)......go figure :-)
I have to admit that DJ and AJ is pretty clever!! LOL!
but MY Beau is a sweetie!
Bronte (as in the author Charlotte Bronte) - she was very clever =) There is an accent on the 'e' but I can't find out how to put that on! So pronounced Bron-Tee (sorry if y'all know that anyway!)
That is a clever name.... I guess Charlotte or Bronte would work and it goes with Webster......I had thought Austen for Jane Austen and have been racking my brain for other popular literary characters. For boys there are names like Sherlock, Poirot, Watson, Gandalf, etc, but girl characters rarely go by their last name and therefore just sound like a regular girl name. I like some of the Greek mythology names (Athena, Venus). Of course, all of these names will have to go through 3 very opinionated family members :-)
Ooooh. I like Bronte. Webster and Bronte. Sounds female, yet regal. I am going with Bronte.
Okay... here goes... Brulee' (sp? as in Creme Brulee - my favorite dessert), Wheatly (as in Phyllis wheatley young poet who wrote to G. Washington during the civil war), Grigio (as in Pinot), Marney (for Gran Marnier), LOL - Boy I guess I may need a drink... look at my theme - or possibly Toffee???
This is fun! Hope you find a name that suits her! Like Adina said way back on probably page 1 of this post.... once you name her... it will feel like nothing else would have suited her better!!!
Hi Jennifer...My heart melted when I saw the photo of your precious new addition to the family! What a beauty she is!! Trying to choose a name can be so hard...but it's so much fun trying to come up with "just the perfect name" isn't it?
Well...here are a few more to think about... that you might think go well with the name Webster...
Willow (symbol of healing)...Willa (the desired) Emily...Pearl...Daisy...Rose...Annie...Beatrix...Baby Watson...not sure if that sounds too masculine...but you could call her "Baby" for short. It's the name of a "yummy" cheesecake! LOL... Mackenzie...Reilly...Ashley...Sophie...Olivia...Chloe...Hannah...Madison...Mia...Ellie...Gracie...Lucy...Charlotte...Katie...Emma...
Sophie...Bailey...Finley...Abigail (Abby)...Samantha..Daisy...Annie...Shaylee...Sadie...Madeline (Maddy)...Ivy...Kenzie...Lyndsey...Miley...Fiona... Oh my goodness...I MUST STOP!!!! I always seem to get carried aways with things like this...LOL...especially when there are other things to do...such as...make dinner!! (smile)
By the way...I went on your sight...and Webster is gorgeous! You do a great job with his grooming...
I can't wait to hear what name you choose. I'm sure it will be the "perfect" one for your little girl!
You ARE good with names :-) Many of those are on the list but now I'll have more to add. I like Ivy, that has a classic yet captivating feel too it. I'll put it on the list....
Thanks for the comment about Webster - I'm always worried when I get out the clippers. Sasha is beautiful - I kind of hope that our new puppy looks like your girl. "Nameless's" dad was apricot as a pup an now is the color of Sasha. I'll be thrilled if our girl looks like a rose-nosed Sasha!
It's the middle of the night...and I'm wide awake! Just one of those nights where I can't fall asleep...and...you guessed it...I'm thinking about names for your puppy!! LOL... So...I have a few other names that I don't think are on the list...so here goes...Shannon Rose (after all...she does have a beautiful rose colored nose)...Molly...Ellie...Sydney...Courtney...and hopefully the last one for tonight... Shibion (pronounced Shivonne)
Oh and thank you so much for the nice comment about Sasha. You have no worries about your girl being a beauty!! She Is One!! Sweet Dreams...
SUSAN! GO TO SLEEP! Look who's calling the Kettle black - It's 2AM and look where I AM!... LOL I LOVE Shibion - That was one of the 2 girls' names I wanted if I had a girl , and guess what - NEVER did (and never will).... I like Shannon Rose too!
Okay Mommy...I'm going to bed right now...I promise!! LOL!!

At least I think I am...(smile)
