The Hopeless Doodle Addict Trophy has Arrived in Nashville, TN!!!!

Well, DK friends...I always knew this day would come. I am now officially addicted to doodles!!!

 

Yesterday I came home to a wonderful package from F. Parker, Calla and Luca (the latest recipient of the trophy), which included the infamous trophy, treats, bandanas, and New Jersey tourism guides! F. and her doodles sent us quite a spread! Here is a photo - you can see it included some great skinneez toys (no stuffing), liver treats, bandanas, a ball (that Peri is currently throwing around the room as I write this), a cool pen, and New Jersey tourism info (where F. is from!).

 

Immediately, Peri started trying to get the Skinneez....she has not had one since she was probably 6 months old because she tends to destroy them.  Look at her excitement!

 

Then it was time for the bandanas to be put on and the kids to play!  Peri and Taquito were both thinking "geez, it's been a while since we have had a plush toy".... DH came home and wondered why Taquito was wearing a frilly bandana.  I personally LOVE It :) He's a chihuahua after all.....not the manliest dog LOL!

 

About 10 minutes later, I had gone back to change into casual clothes...Peri dropped the skinneez at my feet. This is why I don't buy plush toys (even without stuffing) folks!  I would be broke. So thanks F. for the fun!

 

 

DH finally got home and asked me what this was all about.  I told him it was a "prize" for people active in doodle stuff (like food, puppyhood, etc..).  He knows I get on DK, but I think now he knows how often that is...uhoh! He just laughed and said "cool toys and stuff" - then read the NJ guidebooks and took my photo:

 

 

Peri had been at daycare all day yesterday and refused to look at the camera....sorry about that!

 

To all my DK friends - I have enjoyed all of our discussions - I am so much more enlightened on dog ownership now, especially the joys of life with a doodle. I honestly think DK.com has helped me get through Peri's toughest puppy times.  So thank you to all!  And a special thanks to F. Parker for sending me the trophy and gifts :)

Congratulations Addict! This trophy is moving so fast...oh my! What fun gifts...everyone is continually outdoing the other, perhaps someday when the trophy makes it back to me, the presents will have advanced to something like a new doodle car!

Considering that as the first one to get the trophy rolling, you didn't get any gifts, I think you deserve something. Probably not a car, though.

ROFL....a horse! Maybe a pony...by then Natalie will probably at the age where girls beg for ponies =) But only if it's crate trained.

Now that is a really good idea. We'll begin the search for a NJ born and bred, crate trained pony now. By the time it trots cross country Natalie will be ready. Now we can start the name game.

Congratualtions Allyson! I enjoyed your post, great pictures! When I saw the photo of Peri not wanting to look at the camera it made me laugh! Maybe she decided she didn't want to contribute to your addiction and it had nothing to do with being at daycare! Sometimes when I'm on DK for too long my two come into the room and stare at me as if to tell me that I really need to get off the computer and play, or they have to go out to potty or they're hungry etc. I'm a bad, bad mom! Thanks for all the great advice you share here on DK! I'm glad all the goodies were enjoyed by all.
