What have you all (from the south) found to be the best age to start Agility Training with our doods? i have been so careful not to let my 9 month old do too much jumping or repetitive running on hard surfaces. Suggestions?

Joanne, you might want to find a local Agility trainer and ask if you can bring Starlit either before or after one of her classes to play and see if she likes it. Before Guinness actually started his first agility class we would go and use the equipment. At that point he just loved the tunnels (I hid toys & treats in the middle) and the low jumps. I used the same trainer for obedience and agility, so she had no problem with us "playing around". I think you'll know pretty quickly if this is going to be "her thing".
Guinness was actually a little younger than that when he took his first agility class. My trainer used the short jumps for the younger dogs, and it was held on a rubber mat surface. He loved it (except the teeter which he never really liked), and it was a great reinforcement for his obedience training.
