My DH just came in the bedroom while I was playing with Tori. I was down on the ground crawling around like a dog bending my head down and pushing into her. She was pawing at my hair and zooming and hiding back and forth playing chase. DH of course just shook his head, got what he came in for and walked back out. No words were necessary to know what HE was thinking. (There's not many people that I would even admit that to - LOL) So it got me wondering.... what do YOU do with your doodle that 'others' may think... "I would never"..... So finish the sentence...Have you ever__________ with (or for) your doodle?
"Have you ever rewritten songs to be about your doodle?"
DH and I constantly sing our own made up lyrics to well known songs. These lyrics are always on the lines of fluffaluff, little pup, Darwin the doodle, crazy pup, Darvineous... etc. It gets pretty embarrassing. My younger siblings claim our version of "single ladies" (hint: "all you single puppies!") is their favorite. LOL.
My husband does this with our doodles all of the time. One of my favorites is his version of George Straits country sond Troubador, which he sings Poobrador with Fenway's name included too. It's too funny. He serenades them every morning.
Hmmm... I think I'd have to pay you more not to tell him that I told everyone he runs a dojo with our doodles as his ninjas in training! He's loopy over our dogs!
My DH and I do this daily! Top of the charts in our house is a rendition of Outkast's "Fresh and clean." We sing it whenever Pocket gets a bath, comes home from the groomer, or gets hosed down after the beach. "Ain't nobody dope as Pocket, he's dressed so fresh and so clean. So fresh and so clean clean."
I tend to cover oldies (ie. Baby love = doodle bug) and DH hip hop/rap. My cousin visited this weekend and started singing "Pockijandro, Pockijandro" to him (based off of Lady Gaga's Alejandro.) It is now stuck in our heads and has been playing on repeat ;)
Oh, man, I just had a thought, are we like the couple from Best in Show?! Eek!
I can't remember... I need to watch it again, it's a crack up. Kind of traumatized me when I was younger though. I was like 12 when I first watched it... ha ha.
